ACDelco Gold Accessory Drive Belt Tensioner Assemblies are a high quality alternative to Original Equipment (OE) parts. When you hear annoying belt squeal under the hood or experience battery charging issues caused by a slipping alternator belt, restoring proper tension is essential for reliable vehicle operation. These tensioner assemblies automatically adjust to take up belt slack as the engine runs, ensuring the serpentine belts stay tight against all pulleys to drive critical components like the water pump, air conditioning compressor, and power steering. By utilizing a robust torsion spring and an advanced damping mechanism, they reduce vibration and provide maximum stability even under the heavy strain of towing or daily commuting. The springs even help to mitigate belt wear and flex-fatigue. Engineered with low-friction bearings and protective seals that stop internal contamination, these tensioners are rigorously validated to deliver consistent power transfer while extending the overall lifespan of your drive belt and pulleys. ACDelco Gold parts are manufactured to meet your expectations for fit, form, and function, making them a smart choice for General Motors vehicles, as well as most makes and models, including special applications. These high-quality parts are backed by General Motors.
