Does an illuminated airbag light indicate it needs to be serviced?

Yes. The airbag light indicates that the restraint control module, which includes the sensors, has identified a fault in the system and has deactivated the airbag and pretensioners.

About this product

GM Genuine Parts Airbag Passenger Presence Modules are designed, engineered, and tested to rigorous standards, and are backed by General Motors.
