Good Maintenance Practices:
- Before purchasing and installing an interior rear view mirror, make sure it is the correct size and fit for your vehicle.
- To clean, use a terry cloth fabric dampened with water. Wipe droplets left behind with a clean dry cloth. Commercial glass cleaners may be used, if necessary, after cleaning the interior glass with plain water.
- Avoid hanging objects from mirror.
- Regularly inspect your interior rear view mirror for signs of damage or failure, and replace it if it can no longer be safely used.
Service your interior rearview mirror when signs of wear or failure are displayed, such as:
- Mirror surface cloudy or damaged
- Mirror becomes dislodged from windshield
- Mirror will not hold position
