Before the purchase and installation of a seat back bolster, make sure it is the correct fit for your vehicle.
- Disconnect the vehicle battery when servicing a bolster that contains a side airbag.
- Have the seat back bolster inspected by a certified technician after all collisions.
- Regularly inspect seat back bolsters for signs of damage or wear, and replace them if signs of damage are found.
- Refer to your Vehicle Owner's manual for additional vehicle maintenance practices.
Signs of wear or damage for seat back bolsters include but are not limited to:
- Cushion cover faded or damaged
- Cushion worn and not holding its original form
- Bolster cushion damaged from airbag deployment
