- Have the seat belt pretensioner inspected by a certified technician after all collisions.
- Regularly inspect seat belt pretensioners for signs of damage or wear, and replace them if signs of damage are found
- Refer to your Vehicle Owner’s manual for additional vehicle maintenance practices.
Signs of wear or damage for seat belt pretensioners include but are not limited to:
- Unable to retract or expand seat belt
- Unable to lock or unlock seat belt
